to do or not to do.

my plan for today was:
go to the farmers market.
and the new york bontantical garden
they are located at the same location.
what luck!

i did neither. oh well.

i did manage to spend my afternoon swimming upstate
and
going to the market up there and picking up bags full
FULL!
of local veggies.
yellow beets, turnips, carrots, and cucumbers, and lovely boston lettuce.
(not to mention raiding my parents fridge)

i made carrot top walnut pesto this evening. it's awesome.
i thought i invented it until i googled it afterwards...
mine is vegan though. (better)

after a near panic attack driving around trying to find parking
for a hour in this lovely heat.
i controlled myself and baby stepped my way home.

swimming, lettuce, and baby steps.
it was a good day.
the garden will be there tomorrow.
